| Project Description
Development of an improved seat leg as an example for a highly loaded primary structure component, by applying the topology optimization method using TOSCA 5.0. and FE-solver Nastran. Within only a few design cycles, this method allows to determine the optimum structure in regards to weight and stiffness, based on the specified boundary conditions. Boundary conditions can be single or multiple load cases, as well as manufacturing constraints, e.g. stamping, casting, etc. Tasks include: design, calculation and generation of stress reports.
